Atlantis x ONA 2026: stories, identity and live printing.

For the fifth year running, Atlantis Headwear continues its journey with ONA Short Film Festival, driven by a shared belief in the power of images and stories to create new connections between people, culture and nature. For the 2026 edition, the collaboration took shape through La Voz del Mate, the new short film shot in the forests of Misiones, Argentina, alongside a new approach to the Festival’s official merchandise. Two Atlantis styles and a live printing activation with Gibi Merch turned headwear into something more personal created, customised and experienced directly at the event.

The Partner
company name: ONA Short Film Festival
typology: Film Festival
sector: Cinema

ONA is an international festival dedicated to cinema and outdoor culture, where short films, photography and conversations become a way to explore the relationship between people, nature and the places around us.
Every year, the island of San Servolo in Venice welcomes filmmakers, creatives and enthusiasts from different countries, brought together by stories that offer new perspectives on how we live, observe and understand the world.

The Challenge

After five editions together, the goal was to find a new way to interpret ONA’s identity through product.

The first challenge was to select two styles we had never previously used within the collaboration, specifically a bucket hat and a baseball cap, able to represent a community connected by cinema, creativity and the outdoor world.

The second was to move beyond traditional merchandise and turn customisation into an experience in its own right. This led to a live printing session with Gibi Merch, designed to actively involve the audience and make each piece more personal.

The project therefore brought together product renewal, identity and community participation.

The Journey

After a period of research and discussion, we selected two different styles united by technical materials, functionality and an aesthetic that naturally fits the Festival’s outdoor world: Bucket Pocket-S and Rainy-S.

Bucket Pocket-S is a versatile bucket hat made from recycled ripstop polyester. Reversible and packable into its own pocket, it combines practicality and lightness with a contemporary silhouette designed for outdoor activities, travelling and everyday life.

Rainy-S is an unstructured 5-panel cap in recycled ripstop polyester, with a more technical and urban attitude. Its ReTraze® visor and clean construction complete a functional, distinctive style created for a community that moves naturally between the outdoors and the city.

The two styles became the starting point for something new. Together with Gibi Merch, we brought customisation directly into the Festival through a live printing session.

Each participant could choose up to four graphics, which were then heat-pressed onto their own hat. Rather than simply receiving a finished piece of merchandise, visitors could watch it take shape in front of them, and play an active role in creating it.

At the same time, our journey with ONA continued through cinema. With La Voz del Mate, the collaboration returned to the Atlantic Forest of northern Argentina, following Camila Chebez in a story that brings together memory, biodiversity, local communities and the culture of yerba mate.
