A step into change: Atlantis and Kronplatz for sustainable beanies in the FIS World Cup 2025

Since 2018, Atlantis has been working with the Kronplatz ski area to create custom beanies. For the 2025 edition of the Audi FIS World Cup women's slalom race the product is renewed with an ad-hoc design and shared principles. A Partnership that combines product excellence with a constant commitment to environmental protection.

The Challenge

Year after year, the long-standing collaboration with Kronplatz has allowed us to develop custom-made projects that are increasingly attentive to sustainability. The Challenge of this edition has pushed us to create beanies with a reduced environmental impact, in line with the responsible approach that guides the event.

The main goal was to develop a product that not only respects the environment, but also represents a step forward in the direction of greater ecological awareness, integrating the principles of sustainability into every phase of the production process.

The Journey

From a common and shared vision towards a more sustainable future, we have created a model renewed in materials and colors. A choice that combines a concrete commitment with aesthetic sensitivity. For this Partnership we have decided to use raw materials with low environmental impact, ensuring that each phase of production contributes to reducing the ecological footprint.

These beanies are the result of a designed research to promote more conscious production. The outcome was a high-quality product even more aligned with the Responsible philosophy of Kronplatz. We have created a product that not only meets the needs of design and functionality, but is also an example of harmony with the environment.

*Reductions are calculated through a sensitivity analysis contrasting the environmental impact of low-impact materials against conventional ones, using the certified CF Atlantis calculation tool v. 0.7. This tool meticulously tracks the Cradle to gate journey from raw material acquisition to final product delivery at the Atlantis warehouse.
